CarWale's Vintage & Classic Car Drive Creates a Unique First
Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Monday, December 21, 2009 -- (Business Wire India) -- Vintage history rolled on the roads of Navi Mumbai as first CarWale Vintage Wheels'09 - Vintage & Classic Car Drive was flagged-off this Sunday at 9.30 am.
It was indeed an exciting first for CarWale and Navi Mumbai.
Close to around forty entries were received for this drive which included a stunning red Chevrolet Impala, Austin Healey Sprite, a majestic Rolls Royce, an 80 year old Ford A & many more. Vintage enthusiasts poured out in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the stunners wearing the robes of a bygone era, at the InOrbit Mall, Vashi. These rare beauties traveled from Navi Mumbai to Dukes Retreat - a Keys Resort at Khandala.
The Drive also attracted over 100 photographers for the CarWale Wheels'09 Photography Contest. The winners of this photography contest takes home cash prizes of Rs.10000 and some very exciting merchandise. The winners will be announced on 26th December'09 on www.carwale.com. The winning entries will feature in the CarWale 2010 annual calendar.
Being the first of its kind event in Navi Mumbai there was tremendous excitement among the residents and also avid participation by media.
