New Near-Infrared Spectrometer from Ocean Optics Provides Great Stability and High Optical Resolution
Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Wednesday, September 01, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- Ocean Optics (www.oceanoptics.com) has expanded its offering of small-footprint near-infrared spectrometers with the introduction of NIRQuest512-2.2, a high-performance unit with response from 900-2200 nm. NIRQuest512-2.2 is ideal for applications ranging from moisture detection and chemical analysis to high-resolution laser and optical fibre characterization.
NIRQuest512-2.2 uses a high-stability, 512-element Hamamatsu Indium Gallium Arsenide (InGaAs)-array detector in a compact optical bench with two-stage thermoelectric cooler and low-noise electronics. Depending on the configuration - six grating options and five sizes of optical bench entrance slits are available - optical resolution of ~0.5 nm-5.0 nm (FWHM) is possible. Higher-resolution setups are especially useful for characterizing lasers.
External hardware triggering functions allow users to capture data when an external event occurs, or to trigger an event after data acquisition. This capability can be especially useful for capturing data from automated processes or from devices such as solar simulators that flash synchronously.
The SpectraSuite Operating Software used by the spectrometer is a modular, Java-based spectroscopy platform that operates in Windows, Mac OS and Linux operating systems. In addition, NIRQuest512-2.2 can be bundled with the Remora Network Adapter from Ocean Optics to turn the system into a multi-user spectral data server over Ethernet or your existing Wi-Fi connection.
With the addition of the NIRQuest512-2.2, Ocean Optics now offers NIR spectrometer options with spectral response from 900-1700 nm, 900-2050 nm, 900-2200 nm and 900-2500 nm. Multiple grating, optical bench and accessory options make it possible to configure a NIRQuest system for a variety of applications in medical diagnostics, food and beverage monitoring, pharmaceuticals analysis, environmental monitoring, process control and more.

Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, Tuesday, August 31, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- NSL Textiles, part of Rs 1500 Crore NSL Group, has brought to light the inauguration of its State-of-the-Art textiles process house at Chandolu near Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. The facility will be inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr. K. Rosaiah on the 6th of September 2010. Honorable Minister of State for Textiles, Govt. of India, Smt. Panabaka Lakshmi and Ministers of Government of AP will attend the event.
The output of the plant is projected at 1,20,000 Meters per day initially, which is proposed to be doubled in the next two years. It also houses 100 looms for weaving dyed yarn. Investment to the tune of INR 300 Crore has already been made with further plan to invest about INR 250 Crore.

The textile processing house at Chandolu is one of the largest in South India and equipped with State of the Art, unique Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), which is capable of recycling as high as 90% of the water usage against highest of 80% in the industry.
Size of the Indian textiles industry is estimated around INR 3, 00, 000 crores and it provides employment to 3.5 crore people, second largest sector after agriculture. Textiles industry contributes four percent to national GDP and 13.5 per cent of exports earnings come from it.

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Tuesday, August 31, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- CA Technologies (NASDAQ:CA) announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately-held Arcot Systems, Inc., a leader in providing advanced authentication and fraud prevention solutions through on premises software or cloud services, in an all-cash transaction valued at $200 million.
Arcot employees are primarily located in two locations, Sunnyvale, California, and Bangalore in India. The employees will remain in their current locations through the remainder of CA Technologies FY 11 (which ends March 31, 2011). The letter of intent was signed on August 28, 2010 and is expected to close in our second fiscal quarter ending September 30, 2010, subject to regulatory review.
The acquisition of Arcot adds visionary technology for fraud prevention and advanced authentication to CA Technologies leading Identity and Access Management (IAM) offerings.
Arcot's solutions - delivered as cloud services or deployed on premises - help prevent fraudulent transactions for about one million online credit card transactions each day. In addition, by combining Arcot's technology with CA Technologies market-leading CA SiteMinder portfolio, the company will provide advanced capabilities to help customers further reduce risk, support regulatory compliance and confidently secure business transactions.

ING Aashirvad, built on a traditional platform, comes with four guarantees: the guarantee of maturity value as decided by the parent, additional guarantee of death benefit in case of any eventuality of the policyholder, guarantee of policy continuing in case of any eventuality of the parent (policyholder) and guaranteed coverage for child after the maturity of the policy. In case of any eventuality to the parent, the plan will offer an additional amount equal to 50% of the guaranteed maturity as death benefit, and the policy will continue, with the future premiums being waived off. On maturity, the child shall get the full maturity value of the policy.
The plan goes one step ahead and provides an opportunity to the parents to pass on their blessings for their family. After the maturity payout is done, the plan automatically extends to protect the child who is now grown up adult, for the next 30 years. The risk coverage is at 50% of the maturity benefit amount - all at no additional cost. This way, the plan actually offers to protect three generations! It protects the parents during the policy payment term, and protects the child thereafter for the next 30 years. In case of any eventuality to the child during this period, the death benefit will be offered to the grand-child of the original proposer!
The parents receive the payouts in structured way over 5 years as per the education and marriage requirements of the child. First four installments of 5% of the Maturity amount payout to meet the education expense requirements and the balance 80% paid out at the time of maturity for other milestones like marriage, etc.

The Winners of WCG 2010 India Announced
The champions will now compete at the World Finals held at Los Angeles, USA
Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Monday, August 30, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- The results are out! WCG India officially crowned the National Winners of the WCG 2010 India Championship at EsselWorld, one of India's largest gaming park. Competing across four extremely popular yet competitive games, eight very dedicated gamers - Rahul Kumar (FIFA), Team ATE (Counter Strike), Naveen Uraon (Asphalt 5) and Gana Sekhar (T20fever) were crowned as the National Winners today. The winners of FIFA, Counter Strike and Asphalt 5 will represent India in the Grand Final at Los Angeles (USA), between 29th September 2010 and 3rd October 2010.
Starting 20th July 2010, WCG organized online as well as offline events travelling across six cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai in search of gamers, who could compete across four games namely - FIFA Soccer 2010 , Counter strike, Asphalt and promotional game for India - Cricket T20fever. Through a series of supreme and unparalleled competition, the winners from each city were brought to the last destination - Mumbai to compete for the title of WCG India 2010 Finalist and a chance to compete at the WCG 2010 Grand Finale at L.A.
Concluding this mega gaming tournament in search of India's most deserving gamers, the national finals saw a clash of regional winners from across six cities battling it out for the India title. With astounding and unmatched skills - Rahul Kumar emerged as the undisputed winner for the popular soccer game - FIFA Soccer 2010. For Counter Strike, the team of 5 that struck the winning gaming chord were Team ATE, comprising of Ritesh Shah, Ben Verges , Poojan Mehta, Mikhel Mehra and Pranay Bhatia. Aspalt 5 saw some intense competition between all the regional finalists but Naveen Uraon walked away with the final title and Gana Sekhar, through his passion for both gaming and cricket won the India promotional game - Cricket T20fever.
