Bangalore, Karnataka, India, Thursday, April 15, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and comprehensive facility solutions, has appointed Caryaire Equipments India Pvt. Ltd., a Bangalore-based distributor for marketing and sales of its residential and light commercial air-conditioning systems in southern India.

Caryaire's sales and marketing portfolio will include a comprehensive range of air-conditioning products from 0.75 - 25 tons that are manufactured with stringent comfort and energy saving features. Additional features include timers, anti-corrosion body, quieter fan operation and fresh air capability leading to a healthier way of life. These systems will be ideal for homes and small - to mid-sized buildings like offices, schools and retail establishments.

Trane spilt air conditioning units, cassette units and other ductable units up to 3.0 tons are under certification by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Government of India's scheme for energy efficiency labeling of equipment. The BEE label indicates the energy efficiency levels through the number of stars highlighted in color on the label.
