National Instruments to Host the 8th Edition of Educators Day for the First Time in Chennai
To Focus on Encouraging Entrepreneurship in the Science & Engineering Industry by Improving the Quality of Education and Promoting 'Experiential Education'

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, Tuesday, November 03, 2009 -- (Business Wire India) -- National Instruments, the technology pioneer and leader in graphical system design for test, control and embedded design, today announced the 8th edition of Educator's Day, the largest platform for industry-academia collaboration to be held for the first time ever in Chennai. The annual Educators Day which is eagerly looked forward by the science and engineering academia will be held on 6th November 2009 at the Chennai Trade Center from 9 AM onwards. With the objective of improving the quality of education and promoting experiential learning in India, the day long conference will focus on Entrepreneurship, a phenomenon India is increasingly being witness to since the last decade.

Educator's Day 2009 is an interactive platform for Engineering faculty members (Undergraduate and Post Graduate), Science faculty members (Post Graduate - Electronics and Physics), Academicians and Research Scholars. Close to 1000 faculty members from science and engineering streams across India are expected to participate in the event.

In its seven years of staging, the Educators Day has seen an overwhelming response from the academic fraternity and in 2008 alone, witnessed participation of more than 700 professors from different parts of India.
