Symbiosis Opens Doors To SNAP 2010

Pune, Maharashtra, India, Thursday, September 02, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- Earlier this week education giant Symbiosis opened registrations for SNAP 2010. SNAP is the common entrance test for admission to the Post Graduate programmes at 14 institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for the academic year starting 2011. Symbiosis joins the league of other major national & international universities to have started their registration phase.

Annually over one hundred thousand students and professionals appear for SNAP which is the entry point to multiple degrees offered by Symbiosis in streams ranging from Healthcare, Media, Computer Science, Business Management, to Telecom & Geo-informatics, to mention a few. The University has seen a wide range of corporates backing these educational programmes with annual visits for the end-of-term placements..

The University has a sprawling hilltop campus at Lavale called the Symbiosis Knowledge Village. It houses 4 institutes offering high tech, state of the art infrastructure and facilities. The latest entrant to join the family of institutes, Symbiosis School of Banking Management will welcome its second batch this year.

Taking the online campaign a step ahead this year, the University has gone all out to speak with the masses as openly as possible. It has launched its Youtube Channel - a platform where SNAP aspirants can get a glimpse of life inside Symbiosis. Applicants and those who want to know SI (DU) can view lecture videos, event footage, dignitary visits & seminars, as well as all the action within the colleges. This will also be accompanied with a presence for the exam on Facebook. This social media website will be used to float the first of its kind online examination planner to help students prepare better. The portal shall host a SNAP page to give out information on the exam and anything else it feels will benefit the students. Taking SNAP to an interactive level will help aspirants understand and prepare better for the wide array of specialized courses that this examination opens doors to. However, not stopping at this, the University has decided to encourage the institute Directors to speak with those seeking admission to SI(DU) via a platform called the 'Directors' Forum'. The interactive domain would have all top Directors answering questions about the institute's courses, placements, academic background and affiliate programmes.
