Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, Monday, June 14, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- Compucom Software Limited, a BSE listed company and a leading IT Education provider, has been awarded prestigious School Computer Education Project of Govt. of Rajasthan.

This order is to provide Computer Education on BOOT basis in 1550 Govt. Schools of Rajasthan. The contract value is worth Rs. 77.77 Crores (Seventy Seven Crores and Seventy Seven Lacs).

Out of 2000 schools in 7 zones which were offered, Compucom has been awarded 1550 schools in 5 zones capturing 77.5% of the offering covering students in class 9'th to 12'th. Other then Compucom, ICT and educational companies like Educomp, Everon, NIIT, Manipal etc. have also participated in the bidding procedure.

With this award Compucom has increased its portfolio to 5246 Govt. Schools under ICT implementation across India.

The company will now reach around 2 million students through its educational projects.

Key deliverables in this project includes supply, installations, maintenance of IT infrastructure, Teachers training, Online Management information System and multimedia content.

Compucom uses innovative technological and managerial techniques to implement and deliver these complex and geographically distributed projects.
