Mr. R. S. Sodhi Appointed as Incharge Managing Director, GCMMF
Anand, Gujarat, India, Saturday, June 12, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- Mr. Rupinder Singh Sodhi, Chief General Manager, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), has taken over as Incharge Managing Director from Mr. B. M. Vyas. Mr. Vyas was its Managing Director since 1994.
GCMMF is the apex body of 13 District Co-operative Milk Producers' Union representing 2.91 million milk producers covering more than 15,000 village dairy cooperative societies of Gujarat with an average milk procurement of approximately 93 lakh litres per day.
Mr. Sodhi has been working with GCMMF since 1982. He has an experience of 28 years of sales and marketing in Asia's largest milk brand called Amul with a sales turnover of more than Rs. 8,000 crores. Mr. Sodhi is a graduate from the first batch (1982) of IRMA. As the Chief General Manager, he has been looking after complete sales, distribution and marketing activities of all the product categories under Amul and Sagar brands.
Shri Parthibhai Bhatol, Chairman, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (GCMMF) has accepted the resignation of Mr. Vyas, with effect from June 11, 2010.
