Swami Dayananda Saraswatiji Inspires Students of Great Lakes
By Enlightening the Path to the Way of LIFE
Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, Tuesday, July 20, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- Great Lakes Institute of Management, a leading management institute in the country, founded by Prof. Bala V Balachandran, hosted an inspirational session by Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswatiji on July 19, 2010 at the Great Lakes campus at Manamai near Mamallapuram. Swami Dayananda Saraswatiji is a distinguished and traditional teacher of Vedanta. His depth of understanding and nuanced appreciation of Western culture makes him a rare teacher who can communicate the vision of non-duality to modern listeners.
During the session, Swami Dayananda Saraswatiji interacted with the students and spoke about the importance of humour, to reduce stress and tension and to make the mind and the body light. He also added a perspective on the inter-relation of humour and spirituality and threw light on the importance of absolute realization that we worship only one God, but we invoke Him in various names and forms. He also spoke on the Dharmas and Adharmas and how we make the world with our thoughts and hence the necessity of always keeping the mind pure.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Bala V Balachandran, Founder & Honorary Dean, Great Lakes Institute of Management said, "We are blessed to have Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswatiji on our campus today. The growing demands placed on an individual to be successful in our fast-paced, stressful global society lays emphasis on the need for students to have the right insights they need to make responsible life decisions. I believe his thoughts will help our students strike the perfect chord at work in the future."
Adding to the statement, Prof S. Sriram, Executive Director, Great Lakes Institute of Management said "Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswatiji's speech threw insight on bridging the gap between the modernistic appeal and the ground reality. It also instilled a spirit of optimism and a holistic approach to the way of life."
Swami Dayananda Saraswatiji planted a Vilva Vriksham to enhance the green campus of Great Lakes during his visit.
