Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, Monday, February 16, 2009 -- (Business Wire India) -- June 2009 will witness the 10th anniversary of the premier Food and Agri-Business Management executive development program (AMP) jointly organized by Sathguru Management Consultants and Cornell University.

Agribusiness-led growth has enormous potential to contribute to the sustained economic development of India and her neighbours. Recent trends in globalization and integration of international consumer market offer further opportunities for development of agribusiness and food industry across the world which would also benefit developing countries, provided they could suitably manage their resources. For nearly a decade, the Food and Agri-Business Management Program jointly delivered by Sathguru Management Consultants (Hyderabad, India) and Cornell University (New York, USA) has brought together high-level policy planners, food industry CEOs, academics and representatives of NGOs from India and her neighbours for a program that explores institutional mechanisms and innovative business models for strengthening the agribusiness and food industry in developing countries. This immensely successful annual executive development program has been designed by the faculty of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) at Cornell. Module 1 will be held in Hyderabad, India from 12 June to 16 June, 2009. For Module 2 from 24 June to 2 July, 2009, the participants will travel to the CALS campus at Ithaca, New York to learn from and interact with the best minds in the field.

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the program and several special events have been planned, including an Alumni Evening at the Taj Deccan, Hyderabad, India on 15 June, 2009. Current participants of the program will be able to interact with former participants and share their experiences. Leading personalities from industrial and Government bodies have also been invited to address the participants.
