Canon India Launches Next Generation Print Architecture Platform ImageRUNNER ADVANCE

Complete Digital Imaging Company today announces the launch of Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE, the next-generation print architecture platform that will revolutionize the printing industry. Canon also announces their alliance with the leading software solutions provider, Microsoft India to create the ultimate document management office. Canon India's new advanced multifunctional print architecture platform imageRUNNER ADVANCE has been designed to seamlessly integrate with Microsoft's popular business collaboration platform Microsoft SharePoint to create a better collaborative workplace.
Building on the success of Canon's award-winning iR-range and including feedback and insight gained from customers and partners, the next generation of colour MFPs boast hundreds of enhancements. For example, a new advanced controller delivers improved performance through faster processing. Further enhancements to Canon's industry-first MEAP technology and partnership alliances with leading software providers such as Adobe, Microsoft and NTWare, ensure that integration with common office systems is straightforward, contributing significantly to improved operating efficiency and security. The new print architecture platform will see the introduction of a completely new range of Multi function printers for the office and light production markets to ensure efficient and secure document management systems.

Microsoft Office Sharepoint server is an integrated suite of server capabilities that can help improve productivity of enterprises through a strong collaborative document management platform. Canon ImageRunner Advance will let users scan paper documents directly to Microsoft SharePoint by using buttons on the multifunction device (MFD) interface helping in ensuring enhanced security of documents while optimizing time and resources in the workplace.

The new Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE series includes:

The new four models imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5051/C5045/C5035/C5030 will run color and black-and-white, A4 output at 51 ppm, 45 ppm, 35 ppm and 30 ppm respectively. The series offers new features and functionality to help maximize productivity and efficiency for general office users.
-- imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7000 series
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7055 produces A4 output at 55 ppm for both color and black-and-white documents. The device will provide a fast and reliable solution for high-volume office and busy enterprise environments.
-- imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9000 PRO series
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9075 PRO will produce A4 output at up to 75 ppm in black-and-white and 70 ppm in color. imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9065 PRO, on the other hand, will operate at up to 65 ppm in both black-and-white and color.
These new models will help address the growing digital document imaging needs of a vast array of light production users, including copy centers and quick print shops and corporate print room users imageRUNNER ADVANCE automates paper-intensive document processes and streamlines document-based communications to help workforces become more productive. The new platform also enables users to scan paper documents quickly and to a multitude of destinations. Incorporating a number of new file formats based on user needs including Adobe® PDF, Adobe® PDFA1b, Office Open XML and Reader Extensions makes it easy for users to effortlessly work with hardcopy documents, mark-up and apply notes, insert annotations or save documents for long term archival. The large, high-quality colour TFT LCD touch screen user interface, which is built in to each imageRUNNER ADVANCE device, enables organisations to customise screen options for individuals. Users can personalise and speed-up access to the most relevant functions for their specific role through automated one-touch workflows.
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE range also offers improved document security and will comply with the industry's most stringent security standards. Organisations can adopt a portfolio of security measures to meet their specific requirements. Device security can be achieved through employee ID cards and follow-me printing as well as hard-disk removal. While critical business data can be protected through a Document Scan Lock Kit which provides a secure watermark to printed documents, and an Adobe® LiveCycle Rights Management policy server which provides controlled access to scanned PDF documents.
imageRUNNER ADVANCE has also been designed with the environment in mind. Every event in the life of a device and the documents it produces has been considered. The range offers the industry's highest levels of energy efficiency, for example, with an overall reduction in carbon emissions of up to 50 percent. The new range also uses bio plastic in a number of exterior parts and is Energy Star and ROHS compliant.
