Golden Jubilee Celebration of Cross Culture Unity; Aims to Revolutionize Current Education Paradigm

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Thursday, June 24, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- The Indo-American Society (IAS), one of the premier institutions in the country, promoting Indo-US Educational, Cultural and Economic Cooperation today announced that it will be organizing the Indo-US Summit on Higher Education for the first time in Mumbai, India, on the occasion of its 50 years celebration of cross culture unity. The event will be held at Grand Hyatt in Mumbai during July 30 - August 1, 2010. The event will be inaugurated by Hon. Minister Kapil Sibal, Union Human Resource Development Minister and Hon. Sam Pitroda, Chairman Knowledge Commission, will be the keynote speaker.

The Summit will present participants with an invaluable opportunity to collaborate with key business, political and academic personalities at a national and international level and will address important issues, particularly in regard to policy framing and regulations and international partnerships.

This event which is the first of its kind will bring together American and Indian Universities and will contribute in a big way to strengthen co-operation between India and United States in the field of education.

Dr. Vijay Khole, the Chairman of the Summit and former Vice-Chancellor of Mumbai University stated that a number of leading names in the field of education both from India and overseas have agreed to be Speakers and Chairmen of many of the technical sessions of the Summit.
