Apple's newest entrant into the mobile phone market is set to create a new sensation in the industry with the iPhone 4G. The phone comes with many never before seen features that will surely redefine the way you look at mobiles. iPhone 4G, a new generation of smart phones uses the advanced LG LCD Display technology namely In-Plane Switching technology (IPS).

Always trying to bring something new to the table, Apple has added a host of new features to the iPhone 4G to give an all round better experience to its customers. The much talked about new model of the mobile phone with an upgraded operating system comes in a 9.3mm body, with glass on both sides, a steel band that surrounds the unit and works as an antenna. In addition to the glass finish which gives it a classy look, the product has a built-in 5MP camera with flash and a battery life which is 40% higher. A never before seen feature is the high definition display called Retina which has a resolution that is four times better than that of the iPhone 3G.

With an all-new design of glass and stainless steel, Apple claims the product to be the thinnest smartphone in the world. Better screen resolution, larger battery, WiFi and an extra ordinary camera with high resolution makes this handset something to watch out for! Apple's latest brainchild, the iPhone 4G will finally hit the stores on June 24th simultaneously in United States, France, Germany and Japan. The 16 GB version will cost US$199 and 32 GB, US$ 299.
According to Steve Jobs, Chief Executive Officer, Apple, "The new iPhone has the IPS technology, an advanced LCD technology which is better than OLED technology. We are using IPS technology for superb color and wide viewing angle which guarantees a huge difference in quality. IPS is a premium display technology which results in incredibly sharp text, images and video."

iPhone4G is the first smartphone to bring all the features which make In-Plane Switching (IPS) a standard of high technology for LCD panels. The IPS panel offers a 3.5 inch screen display and four times higher resolution with 960 X 640 pixels, to the new iPhone, producing excellent colors and wider view angle. Apple's choice of IPS only goes on to prove that IPS is truly the panel technology for the current times. IPS is a new type of panel that employs horizontal commutation of its liquid crystal elements instead of traditional vertical alignment (VA). Companies like LG have introduced IPS panels in India which have several advantages over conventional panels that use TN (twisted nemantic) and VA (vertical alignment) display technologies. It should not be very long before LG's IPS technology becomes the technology that replaces all others!
Apple has been able to work its magic yet again with the launch of the Apple iPhone 4G with LG LCD Display Technology -IPS. With all new features that the Apple iPhone 4G entails, the product is sure to dazzle your minds!

About IPS:

IPS (In Plane Switching) technology is one of the most leading LCD technologies in the world. IPS technology innovatively aligns liquid crystal horizontally to increase the viewing angle and changes the LCD transmittance. IPS is mainly owned by LG Display Company. This technology was unanimously accepted in its early phase by professionals from all across the globe.

IPS enabled LCD TV particularly deserves praise on its dynamic image expression in comparison to Normal LCD TV, because the IPS liquid crystal responds faster and expresses smoother moving images. While ensuring the image sharpness, IPS is more suitable to viewing dynamic images such as the Olympic Games and can entirely satisfy consumer needs for high definition images.
