ACCMAN Celebrates Aahan 2010
Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, Thursday, February 04, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- Aahan 2010, one of the largest student fests in Delhi-NCR, ended on 30th January with a gala cultural show. 25 management and engineering colleges from around the country participated in the event which was organized by Accman Institute of Management, Greater Noida. The event was divided into three parts-Co curricular Competitions, Sports Competitions and Cultural Show.
There were seven co curricular competitions in which students pitched their mettle against each other. The competition that attracted the largest number of participants was the AdMad show in which the competitors had to develop ad plan for a funky product given on the spot. The competition was won by a team from IAMR, Ghaziabad. However, it was the business plan competition which saw the toughest battle of the bright students. IILM narrowly outpaced Indian Institute of Finance and Accman to in the coveted first prize. In Business Quiz, Sudhanshu Bhadani and Rahul Lakhera from ACCMAN won the top honours with the second place going to team from NDIM. In Summer Project competition it was Varun Kumar of Accman who won the first prize while the first prize for Debate competition went to NDIM. Boardroom Games, an innovative competition based on group discussion was won by Deepak Kumar of ACCMAN.
"The organization was perfect and competition was very tough"-this was the opinion expressed by most of the participants. Mr Muralidharan, MD of Mindworx Consultancy, who was one of the judges, expressed surprise by the level of maturity shown by the competitors. Similar was the opinion of other judges who felt that competitions like the ones organized by ACCMAN help students further fine tune their skills and understand how to excel in the corporate environment.
The winners of all the competitions were given a cash prize of Rs. 5000 each whereas the runners up were given free subscription of a magazine, Business and Management Chronicle.
Expressing satisfaction at the large scale of participation, Prof. Praveen Sharma, Director, Accman Institute of Management, thanked all the student organizers for the excellent management of the event. He congratulated all the winners and expressed hope all the participants would have used the occasion to foster friendships with peers from other institutes. He expressed confidence that in future Aahan will become an even bigger event.
