ESPN STAR Sports' Event Management Wins World Netball Championship 2011 Contract
Asia's No. 1 Sports Content Provider Expands Scope to Organise 2010 Nations Cup with Netball Singapore
Singapore, Monday, May 11, 2009 -- (Business Wire India) -- ESPN STAR Sports' Event Management has been appointed by Netball Singapore to organize the World Netball Championships, the most prestigious international netball tournament in the world, when it takes place in Singapore during 1-10 July 2011.
ESS Event Management was chosen based on its broad spectrum of expertise in sports event management consultancy and experience in organizing large-scale sporting events through an integrated event strategy across multiple platforms. This is the second major international sports competition that ESS Event Management has been selected as event management consultants since it was appointed in December 2008 to work on next month's Men's Junior Hockey World Cup.
As one of the region's premier sports event management company, ESS Event Management will oversee organisational aspects of sports and competition; athlete services and liaison; supervising event operations to efficiently run the tournament such as venue management, accreditation, accommodation, transportation, spectator services, security and safety; managing event production for onsite entertainment, spectator activities and creating the event image; handling the marketing and PR to drive event promotion, oversee media relations and event branding as well as sponsorship and client servicing to create platforms for promotions such as sponsorship activation opportunities.
In addition, ESPN STAR Sports Event Management will expand its scope to oversee the event management for the 2010 Nations Cup, an annual invitational competition that features top netball sides from around the world. ESS Event Management had previously worked with Netball Singapore to broadcast highlights from last year's competition and will showcase highlights from the competition on 2-12 December 2009 on its broadcast networks.

The World Netball Championships is held once every four years, and the 12th edition will see the world's top 16 teams will compete for the championship title in 2011 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, comprising the top five ranked counties in the world, the top two countries from each of the five netball regions and the host country Singapore.
