Avanta UK, a leading name in the serviced office market in the UK, has continued to receive encouraging response for its Serviced Office centres in India. Avanta, which launched its India operations in September 2008, currently has three centres in Mumbai and Delhi.

Avanta India's office bookings have grown in the recent past notwithstanding the slowdown in the economy. This is mainly because more and more corporates are seeking serviced offices for their operations rather than traditional office spaces, mainly to avoid heavy upfront investments and flexibility. Avanta's facilities at New Delhi and Mumbai have seen a healthy jump in bookings in the last two months.

Avanta is now looking at opening more facilities in Mumbai and Delhi and is currently is in talks with developers at prime locations. In Mumbai, Avanta is looking for space in Lower Parel and Andheri whereas in Delhi NCR, the group is looking at Gurgaon, Saket and Noida.

According to Mr Karolath Gopinath, Resident Representative of Norwegian shipping company Höegh Autoliners AS, who have taken over 100 workstations office at Avanta's Platina centre in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex area, "We had several options before us for setting up our operations but we chose Avanta's Platina centre mainly because of the prime location, no capital investments and the ability to start work from day one.
