New Delhi, Delhi, India, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- It was not just the afternoon sun that glistened the Delhi roads on Sunday; speedy, exotic hot four wheelers jazzed up the city's central boulevard. Hosted by The Claridges Hotel, New Delhi, in association with Bellset Entertainment, the Lamborghinis and the Ferraris of the world converged at the Hotel ground for the city's very first Supercar Show.

A celebration of art, design and speed, The Claridges Supercar Show provided a one-of-a-kind platform for Supercar owners and aficionados who came together to share their passion for these lean mean machines.

The enviable line up included Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Maserati, Audi, Mercedes - AMG, Bentley, Rolls Royce Phantom, BMW, Aston Martins and many more.

The supercar enthusiasts drove in style to the venue amidst much cheer and applause. These included Adit Burman, who drove in his Bentley Arnage, Abhimanyu Singh in his Porsche Cayman S, Aneesh Sood in his Maseratti Gs, Bharat Aggarwal in his Aston Martin Vantage and Gurpal Chawla in his Ferrari 599. Others who drove in their lean machines included Mikey Todd in his Audi R8, Raunaq Annand in XKF Jaguar and Range Rover Sport, Sahir Berry in Hummer H2, Harsh Sharma in his Lamborghini Gallardo, Samir Thapar in Lamborghini LP560 and Varun Jain in his Rolls Royce Phantom. The high-end cars covered a 30-km long route around Connaught Place and returned back to the hotel only to be hounded by an enthusiastic crowd.

The show was followed by a lavish brunch at the lawns of Claridges Hotel. The crème-de-la crème of the city poured in to indulge in some gastromical delights and wine and raved about the exotic cars that lined up the hotel's foyer. Those present included Vikram Baidyanath, stylist Ajay Bisht, socialite Ramneek Pantal, designer Dolly J and models Barkha Kaul, Ritu Singh and Anusha amongst others.

The show created much hype and hoopla driving even the vintage car owners, who assembled at a posh mall in South Delhi for a vintage car rally, to the Supercar show. The car owners especially drove down to the hotel to greet these supercar owners and watch them zoom past the city lanes at supersonic speed.

Speaking on the association, Mr Rubal Chaudhry, General Manager, The Claridges, said, "The Claridges, New Delhi plans to make The Claridges Supercar Show an annual event in the city's calendar which the car owners and car enthusiasts will look forward to be a part of".

The show was put together by Arjun Chopra and Annika Talwar of Bellset Entertainment, the brainchild behind the event.
