Nikon Launches South India's First Exclusive D-SLR Zone
Strengthening its Commitment towards Photography Lovers in India

Bangalore, Karnataka, India, Friday, July 24, 2009 -- (Business Wire India) -- Nikon India, the 100% subsidiary of the imaging industry leader - Nikon Corporation launched an exclusive Nikon professional D-SLR camera zone for the consumers at Foto Best Pvt. Ltd, 111/1, 112/1, Dickensen Road Bangalore, Karnataka. The store was inaugurated by Mr. Kimito Uemura General Manager Marketing Nikon Hong Kong in presence of Mr. Hidehiko Tanaka Managing Director Nikon Inida.

As part of its aggressive expansion plans in India, Nikon launches its exclusive D-SLR zone where the entire range of D-SLR cameras, NIKKOR lenses and an elaborate COOLPIX range of compact cameras would be on display. This is the first such zone that Nikon has opened in Southern India in addition to two zones in Mumbai and Delhi. Going forward Nikon aims to open 25 similar outlets across India by the end of this financial year.

At the Nikon's exclusive zone, consumers, both professional and amateurs get to touch, feel and experience the Digital SLR Cameras with combination of lenses and other accessories providing expert guidance, technical know how all under one roof. Most importantly, Bangalore photography lovers can now obtain first hand information on entire range of products and make an informed choice. Nikon exclusive D-SLR zone is an attempt to provide customers with an interactive and informative shopping experience.

Presently, Nikon is targeting 800 retail outlets for in store branding along with the plans to hire 200 in store promoters in the current financial year to further improve the buying experience.
