Aruba Networks Announces New Value-priced, High-Performance 802.11n Access Point
Compact AP-105 Features Dual Radios, Integrated Antennas, Secure Storage of Network Credentials/Keys, and a Lifetime Warranty

Bangalore, Karnataka, India, Friday, October 23, 2009 -- (Business Wire India) -- Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN), a global leader in wireless LANs and secure mobility solutions, today announced the release of its compact, dual-radio AP-105 802.11n Access Point. Value-priced at just $834 U.S. list, Aruba expects the AP-105 to accelerate adoption of 802.11n in India by offering enterprise-grade security, high throughput, streaming video support, a lifetime warranty, and other features previously available only in more expensive devices. Designed to meet the demanding requirements of large enterprises, the AP-105 is competitively priced for even the smallest businesses when used in conjunction with Aruba's recently introduced 600 Series Controllers.

"Healthcare, BFSI and government organizations throughout India are focused on improving efficiency, productivity, and collaboration," said Hitesh Sheth, Aruba's Chief Operating Officer. "Network rightsizing - using robust, affordable 802.11n everywhere possible and wired Ethernet only were you must - offers a solution to these challenges. The features and value of the AP-105 set it apart from products selling for twice the price, and delivers a rightsizing solution that is ideal for India's fast-growing wireless LAN market."

The AP-105 packs a wide range of advanced features into a compact package measuring just 132mm x 135mm x 45mm and weighing a scant 0.44 Kg. Key features include:

-- Dual radio, 2x2 MIMO design delivers up to 300Mbps per radio;
-- Integrated antennas support both wall and ceiling mounting;
-- 802.3af power over Ethernet (POE) simplifies installation;
-- Software reconfiguration allows repurposing for connectivity, mesh, intrusion sensor, and remote access applications - one access point, many uses;
-- Trusted Platform Module (TPM) securely stores network credentials and cipher keys to protect network integrity even if the access point is probed or stolen;
-- Adaptive Radio Management (ARM) enhances performance by managing client behavior.

"The new AP-105 and our recently announced Virtual Branch Networking solution together address a very wide range of campus, branch office, teleworker, and SMB scenarios typically found across India," said Shalendra Singh, Sales Director for Aruba Networks India. "As the world's second largest enterprise wireless LAN vendor with fiscal 2009 revenues of $199.3 million, up 11.8% from the prior year, we have the products small and large customers need to rightsize their network infrastructure for faster growth and greater efficiency. And we have the sales, support, and engineering resources needed to tailor solutions to local needs."
