The testing was done in presence of various technocrats, Municipal Corporation & Government representatives. This is for the first time in India that such sophisticated technology will be used on such a grand scale. Having completed Tree Census for Municipal Corporations of Thane, Nanded, Mira Bhayendar, Kalyan Dombivali, Navi Mumbai, Nashik and Greater Mumbai, Dr. Madav has become synonymous with Tree Census in India. About Dr. Ramesh Madav
Dr. Ramesh Madav, a doctorate in environmental science, along with M.Sc (Agri), is a well known consultant in the area of horticultural development including landscaping. He has worked on numerous agricultural estates for planning and development. Dr. Madav has been responsible for starting companies with focus on environment and agriculture viz. Green Guard, Madav Consultants Pvt. Ltd. and Environmental Restoration Consultants Pvt. Ltd. He is also the chairman of the Environment and Biotechnology Foundation (ENBITECH), an NGO undertaking environment related projects for social and government sector. Dr. Madav's other specific interests include Rural & Agricultural Project Planning, Water Resource and Watershed Management, Environmental Impact Assessment & Management Plan, Land Use Planning.
Dr. Madav is currently working with the various civic bodies for creating inventories of trees. He has been associated with agricultural and environmental development projects for 25 years. Dr. Madav is also an Approved Valuer for Agricultural Lands (CAT II/2 of 1988) and Life Member of Institution of Valuers, New Delhi for the assets in the class of Agricultural Lands (F-9217). He is also visiting faculty at SNDT Women's University, Mumbai & University of Mumbai (Garware Institute of Career Education and Development) for Agri Business Management curriculum.
