Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Saturday, September 26, 2009 -- (Business Wire India) -- Nikunj Kirtibhai Kanakia, Managing Director - Lifeline Industries has been honoured with the Youngest and Dynamic Entrepreneur Award at the India Leadership Conclave 2009, organized by ASSOCHAM and the Wockhardt Foundation.

Mr Kanakia won this award for creating and growing Lifeline Industries into a successful pharmaceutical company with eight manufacturing facilities and market reach across the globe. Mr Kanakia started his venture six years ago at a leased out facility on the outskirts of Mumbai and grew it into a successful venture, which today stands at Rs 450 crore. His growth during this period he has grown the company by the acquisition route by taking over eight companies.

His greatest ability has been to take over six units and turn them around to successful business units, which meet regulatory norms. He was felicitated with this award at a glittering ceremony attended by industry captains, bureaucrats and statesmen at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi

The India Leadership Conclave 2009 felicitated Indian leaders and successful businesspersons of India Inc who have made an impact on the economy. The awards were decided by a distinguished panel of judges which ahs been formulated by picking up the think tanks from all walks of life. The award panel looked at a cross section of the industry from large conglomerates to emerging mid-cap and small cap companies including unlisted companies.
