.Over 16% travellers would be willing to pay for in-flight alcohol
.Over 34% of the respondents have never taken an international flight
.More than half the respondents usually elect low cost airlines over full service airlines
.People fly almost as much for work as they do for leisure, with nearly 50% of the respondents travelling for both purposes
.The Delhi airport adjudged the best among 74% respondents, Mumbai and Hyderabad airports follow at second and third place respectively

While considerable number of survey respondents feel that fat-tax should not be levied, they do not mind paying for add on services like internet connection and child-free zones.

What does the TripAdvisor Survey Reveal?

Fat -Tax
While 27% say yes to the Fat-Tax, another 19% are in two minds whether to pay for it or not.

Internet Connectivity 24X7
Over 60% of people surveyed would be willing to pay for Wi-fi as an additional in-flight service; indicating the importance of internet connectivity during their travel.

Do not disturb
Over 22% of air travellers would prefer a child-free zone and don't mind paying an additional fee for enjoying an uninterrupted and quiet flight.

Striking a balance
While 44% of the respondents travel for business trips, nearly the same percentage, i.e. 42% people travel for leisure as well.


50-50 cost efficiency
Survey respondents' preference for low cost airlines equals those who prefer full service airlines. A big reason for this can be attributed to the availability of LCCs and travellers looking to find the best deal.


The 'Airlines Preferences Survey' was carried out amongst 2300 Indian travellers from across the country and quizzed them on various parameters including their preferred airlines in both domestic and international sectors, quality of in-flight and airport service and location coverage.
