WIAA Presents Road Safety Award to Castrol India


Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Friday, January 23, 2009 -- (Business Wire India) -- The Western India Automobile Association felicitated Castrol India Limited today for its outstanding effort and commitment towards promoting the cause of Road Safety in India. The Award was handed over by HRH Prince Michael of Kent on behalf of WIAA to Mr. Amish Mehta - Executive Director, Castrol India Limited.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nitin Dossa - Chairman, WIAA, said, "Castrol India has been doing exemplary work in the area of Road Safety over the years and is playing a pioneering role in promoting the cause of Road Safety in India. Both WIAA and Castrol are committed to the cause of road safety and we work closely in various road safety initiatives including setting up of the WIAA Castrol Institute of Motoring in Ahmedabad which promotes road safety. Over 50,000 drivers have been trained at this Institute over the last five years.
