Launches State of the Art Functional Services Centre, Launches State of the Art Drug Safety Services Centre

Bangalore, Karnataka, India, Friday, October 22, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- Ecron Acunova, one of the leading CROs in India, launched its second facility Functional Services Centre at Whitefield, Bangalore. Centre was dedicated by Prof. Jagdish Sheth, leading thinker on marketing and strategy from Emory University. This development centre is part of the growth plans of the company in the area of Medical and Pharmacovigilance services. The launch will broaden Ecron Acunova's offering in drug safety services.

The centre will employ 60 people initially and will scale upto 200 people over the next 2 years. The centre is fully compliant with 21 CFR part 11 regulations and tools such as Oracle ClinicalT, Remote Data Capture, SAST, WHO-DD, MedDRA, , nQuery Advisor, Winonlin, ARK, Oracle Adverse Event reporting system, which are used for reliability and reproducibility.

The Functional Services Centre will focus on providing pharmacovigilance, drug safety and clinical development programs like protocol development, clinical study reports, narrative writing, clinical quality control services and post marketing surveillance.
