Gunnebo India Appoints Som Gangopadhyay as Vice President Bank Security & Secure Storage


Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Wednesday, October 27, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- Gunnebo India Limited, a subsidiary of the Gunnebo AB Group, Sweden, one of the world's leading suppliers of integrated security solutions, today announced the appointment of Som Gangopadhyay as Vice President. Som will be responsible for Bank Security & Secure Storage division of Gunnebo India.

Som will be in command of planning & strategy for growth of Gunnebo & its portfolio of brands in India. During his tenure at Gunnebo, Som has developed and has been spearheading a winning Team of sales and marketing professionals in the security segment in India. A graduate from Presidency College, Kolkata, he has master's degree in Marketing Management from Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management, Calcutta University.

Som has around 19 years of experience in the area of information technology products marketing, sales management and consumer durables sales and marketing. He has worked as a Director for Business Imaging Solution Division, Canon India, which includes product management, marketing communications, and public relations apart from three different channels of sales team under him. Prior to joining to Canon, Som worked with Philips India Ltd for around 12 yrs and worked in various capacities and various cities in India, starting from 1990 as a management trainee up to Regional Manager in 2002.
